A tuning file is not a single power table. It contains the program and calibration data used by the ECU to control the engine.
What is inside an ECU file?
Thousands of tables, curves and constants may define driver demand, torque modelling, boost, fuelling, ignition, temperatures and protection strategies.
Why are several maps involved?
Modern ECUs are model-based. A torque request passes through multiple limiters before becoming air, fuel and ignition targets. Good calibration keeps these strategies coherent.
What is a file service?
A file service creates calibrations remotely for professionals who read and write ECUs. Swaptune makes that calibration team visible to the end customer and supports the local partner behind every file.
Versioning and traceability
A calibration should remain linked to an original, identification, date and request. Validation combines consistency checks, checksum, diagnostics and, where required, logs or dyno measurement.
